The Logistics Emissions Reduction Scheme is a voluntary industry initiative to record, report and reduce transport emissions. It allows the UK logistics sector to publicly report its contribution towards national emission reduction targets.
The Department for Transport published their Freight Carbon Review in 2017 which supported the work of the scheme. Currently the scheme has over 130 members and represents over 88,000 commercial vehicles.
The scheme is free to join and is open to any company with at least one commercial vehicle. Further information on the scheme and how to register can be found on the new LERS website.
