Prof. J. Campbell Gemmell biography


Campbell Gemmell is an international environment consultant and government advisor and holds a Visiting Professorship at Strathclyde University. With over 30 years post-doctoral experience of working in the environment and related fields, mostly in public service environment protection, regulatory, economic development and European policy roles, he was SEPA Chief Executive for nine years up to January 2012, before playing a similar role in South Australia.

Campbell undertakes consultancy and mediation work and has been an advisor to several governments and agencies, including the World Bank and EEA, and to clients in Scotland, across the EU and in Australia and China. He is currently chairing the review of CAFS for Scottish Government, due to report at the end of May.
