Karen Crispe appointed as FTA's Commercial Director

The Freight Transport Association is pleased to announce that Karen Crispe will be joining the team in April 2014 as Commercial Director.
Karen is currently Managing Director of Tachodisc, a role she has held since 2005, as well as Non-Executive Director of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). At FTA she will have direct responsibility for sales and marketing, together with a number of service offerings and in addition she will be influential in shaping FTA's future development agenda.
Theo de Pencier, FTA's Chief Executive, stated:
"Karen is a high profile figure in our industry and I am delighted she has decided to join us. Her knowledge of the logistics industry, and compliance issues in particular, is second to none."
Karen has over 15 years' experience working within the road transport industry, during which her responsibilities have included the commercial and strategic direction of business at Tachodisc.
Responding to the announcement of her appointment, Karen Crispe said:
