FTA will assist you to create and manage a practical, and cost effective PCV driver and management training programme. To establish training requirements, our industry experienced specialists work with FTA bus and coach members, whether they are National PCV organisations or compact family run concerns. This relationship has permitted us to develop and deliver a wide range of high quality, sector specific Passenger Transport training solutions. 
 
Courses are delivered through a network of public venues but may be arranged as ‘in house’ courses to avoid delegate travel. FTA also offers bespoke development to create or adapt training for individual company needs.

Driver CPC - First Aid - PCV

This course is designed to provide professional drivers with the skills and confidence to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road. Drivers attending this course will also receive a three-year Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate issued by the Association of First Aiders (AoFA). The dual certification is subject to passing a practical and a written assessment.

This course ensures that drivers fully understand their responsibilities when carrying out walk around checks. It also helps delegates to identify defects, to ensure operator compliance and prevent possible prohibitions and on-the spot fines. The irtec Licence is a qualification developed for vehicle technicians in the HGV, PCV and trailer sectors. It is a nationally recognised certificate which demonstrates to any employer in the road transport industry that an inspection technician has reached a required standard to undertake vehicle inspections.

Transport Manager CPC - Passenger Operations

Transporting Young Persons and Vulnerable Adults 

This 1-day course has been developed to give advice on the legal, moral and ethical issues involved in transporting children, young people and vulnerable adults in buses, coaches and minibuses. The course will provide up to date information on current mandatory requirements and best practice observances, including an interactive workshop focusing on ‘the school run’. This will provide a framework for driver as well as supervisor training that will help ensure that home to school transport journeys are managed to the optimum benefit of all involved.
