The first FTA Van Excellence Honours Lunch will celebrate the ‘best of the best’ van operators, their achievements in the van industry and recognise and reward businesses that place safety and compliance at the heart of their operations.
- Hero of the Year
*THIS AWARD IS OPEN TO ALL VAN OPERATORS*
Recognising outstanding and selfless acts of valour or kindness by an individual driver.
- Making a Difference
Recognising operators who go above and beyond in making a difference to their relationship with clients, customers, other roadusers and the general public. This could be demonstrated by the actions of an individual driver although the award will be made to the organisation.
- Putting Drivers First
Recognising operators who positively engage with their drivers to better manage their exposure to risk and enhance their role.
- Helping the Community
Recognising van operators who demonstrate strong CSR at a corporate level.
- Using Technology for Good
Recognising how your business has made significant safety and/or operational gains following the introduction of one or more technology solutions. For example cameras, sensors, racking, etc, or any technology to reduce fuel economy either through saver driving or better route scheduling, an operator must demonstrate CO2 reduction figures.
- Keeping your Show on the Road
Recognising those companies that forearm their drivers and operators with knowledge to prepare them for all eventualities. Whether that takes the form of regular industry briefings, weather alerts, traffic updates, technical guidance on recalls or known vehicle faults, seasonal guidance for vehicle checking or more!
- Winning at Wellbeing
Celebrating employers who can demonstrate that they are a business which puts wellbeing at the heart of their culture. Winners of this award will be able to demonstrate how they are focussing on employee wellbeing to create a healthy and thriving workforce.
Entry to the awards is open to Van Excellence Accredited Operators only, excluding the 'Van Hero of the Year' award, which is open to all.
